As you may be aware the 50th anniversary of humankind landing on the moon is on the 19th-21st July, 2019.
There are many different celebrations planned throughout this month across the world to commemorate this great event and the wonderful parts of life that changed because of it.
But from your own home you can access many great ideas from a wonderful array of books that are either about the moon landing or have the moon as a main topic.
The Moon has fascinated humanity from our humble beginnings. Arousing stories about how it shrinks and grows, the power of it’s pull, the craziness it stirs within us and it’s seemingly unreachability!
The topic of the moon fits in nicely with the science curriculum and using books allows links with literacy to be made also.
Here is my list, I hope you can share and enjoy!
